Care Instructions
We advise that the first time you receive your copper vessel you clean it. You can do so in the following way:
Step 1: Rinse the vessel from the inside and outside with lukewarm water.
Step 2: To clean the vessel from the inside, squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the bottle, add 1 tbsp of salt and 1 cup of water.
Step 3: Put the lid on and shake the ingredients in the bottle thoroughly for a minute or so.
Step 4: Pour the mixture out and rinse well with lukewarm water.
Step 5: If possible, dry with cotton/woolen cloth to prevent from droplet spots forming.
You can do this every time you think your bottle or mug needs some cleaning. It is also possible to clean them with warm water and a couple of normal dishwashing detergent drops. Shake for a minute and rinse.
When not in use, keep your copper vessels dry and in a dry place – this will prevent them from tarnishing and developing patina. However, if this happens dip half a lemon in salt and start scrubbing, slightly squeezing the lemon so that it releases its juice!
